Meher Pavri was a wonderful model and I have sinced used her again to shoot the cover of yet another magazine.

Erin Blaak ( Sutherland / Chantale Nadeau )

I met Erin Blaak a year ago. if I remember correctly we met at Tim Hortons and I remember walking back to the studio with her on a VERY windy day listening to her talk about her most recent trip to Asia that she had just gotten back from the night before. How someone can be jet-lagged and look so good is beyond me.  Since then we’ve shot several times and I would go so far as to say we’ve become friends that now keep in touch even when she is world traveling.  I don’t call too many models friends… most are merely acquaintances but Erin and I connected. Must be a small town thing :) . Anyway, here are a few shots of my friend Erin Blaak.

Testing Testing 123

So I’ve done my share of testing lately. Chantale Nadeau has been keeping me busy with all her new faces… that’s for sure. I’ve also been shooting for Ford and for new agency Fayme. here are just a few to give you an idea of some of the talent Toronto will be noticing soon.

Ksenia Mikhailova Elite Toronto

so it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here and it’s because … well, I’ve been busy and I had to wait for some stuff to get published before I could post it.

Back in January I finally got to shoot with a girl that I had been really looking forward to photographing for some time. WOW was she ever worth the wait! As soon as I walked in the room and saw her I knew I liked her. She just lit up the room with her smile and laugh.

Other than her flawless skin which made retouching a piece of cake, and her amazing posing which made shooting a walk in the park, she was a sweetheart and I can’t wait to get her in front of my camera again… hopefully this time at my farm and on a horse :)

My wonderful team included Dat Tran on Hair, Angie Di Battista for Makeup and Melina Querel helped out on the styling!

Happy New Year!

So I’m glad that 2011 is over. I had some great moments and I will always remember the fun day of snow boarding with my friend, the love of two beautiful children, a first kiss, and answered prayers. I loved and lost in 2011. Life lessons were learned and I’m making changes I wish I had made earlier. I sold my farm, but it will let me keep another. I gained a beautiful little horse, but 2 days ago lost my gorgeous buckskin and personal riding horse to a broken leg.. which broke my heart.

But, 2012 is here, and so are new opportunities. I may move to Toronto, maybe Montreal. Photographically I am going after a different market. I won’t stop shooting weddings, but my heart is in Lifestyle Campaigns… that is what I want to do and that is where my energy is best spent because that’s where my passion is.

I found it interesting to look at my blog and see some of the stats over the last year. I don’t blog all that much, and I don’t have any way of really getting people to notice it, but I still had 29,000 hits with visitors who came searching, mostly for kamila drotlef, aleksandra malkin, bjanka murgel, tyleen states, and ashiko westguard. The two most popular photos were of Kamila Drotlef and Eva Shaw. My most popular post was on Oct25 with Alicia Smith and Chris Hemsworth, the rooster. Most visitors came from Canada. The United States & The United Kingdom were not far behind. Who knew I was big in Japan too?? lol.

There are also some people who really made a difference in 2011. Chantale Nadeau, Emily Anne, Dat Tran, Steve Alkok, Shobanna, Robert Gaudette, are just a few professionals that I worked with that really helped me out… if I start listing my personal family and friends I’ll just get myself into trouble. lol.

So thanks to all the awesome people in 2011… I hope to see more of you in 2012.

God Bless,
e.
